I happened to find myself on the Amazon page for the Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack yesterday when I noticed that the bar at the top of the page looked a bit different. Rather than having a Two-Day 1-Click button and an Overnight 1-Click button, there were three buttons there.
How long has this Saturday 1-Click feature been around for Amazon Prime users, I wondered.
It's a smart idea, of course. There have been times when I wished I could get something in a hurry on a Saturday but didn't have that option.

I noticed this type of thing appear just today on endless.com today which is amazons new shoe store.
This has been around for at least 2 months. I ordered for Saturday delivery on the Friday right after Thanksgiving. Sure enough, I got it the very next day.
As far as I understand it, it is only available in select areas (I am in the SF Bay Area).
I talked to a friend that works at Amazon about this. Apparently, this is largely to solve the Thursday-Monday dilemma. That is, if you order a package on Thursday through Prime, you get it on Monday, which is not ideal.
It looks like they extended the pricing to Friday as well. Very nice.

it's a great idea, except the saturday shipments are done via dhl, which are bunch of clowns.
my usually-wonderful experience with amazon shipping has taken a big turn for the worse, lately.
Hmm, I have Amazon Prime but can't see it. I am DC so the select users Ben referred to kinda makes sense.
I see that and think 'How can there be a faster option than 'overnight'?'.
Obviously, it's because their normal 'overnight' excludes certain days, but they're just advertising to people that 'overnight' isn't always overnight.
JZ- I noticed the Saturday a few weeks back. It seems to be really hit and miss.
LOL!!!! I had a cat named kitty! Had to put her to sleep after 15 years... awww.... Your pics are cool! Keep up the good work with them!
And LOL..... I typed NO to the Jeremy thing.... cool!
Overnight shipping is only $1.99 starting Wednesday night and most of Thursday so you can receive your order on Friday.
