An email excahnge that I had this week with a dumb spammer (whose company name I have removed):
Hi , I want to buy your traffic. Please get back to me ASAP. Best, Jeremy LiXXXX Account Manager
My response:
Great! There's so much traffic in the Bay Area that I'd love to get rid of. My commute would be so much faster. Please tell me how we can get started on this. Thanks, Jeremy
His response:
Hi Jeremy, Well, either the street traffic will get lighter, or we'll make you enough money to buy a Hummer and you can just mow everybody down:) Let me know, when you have a chance, a bit more about your site. Do you have a network? Do you buy traffic? Where does most of your traffic come from? About how much do you see in a month? Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Jeremy LiXXXX Account Manager
Sigh.

Hummer? Traffic? Ads? Heh.

...Was this a cold sale? I would have just deleted it as spam -- not that my site gets much traffic -- since it doesn't look like anything personally directed...
hahhahaa, whatta comic reply. Funny spammer?
I must try to reply to some of spammers
"...we'll make you enough money to buy a Hummer and you can just mow everybody down." Douche-kabob alert!
Someone called me the other day and asked if they could speak with my MOM and I told them No She was dead. And hung up! What you did sounds like what I would do. I just love to screw with people's heads. Great come back!!! Buwahahaha
*sigh*
I'd like to GIVE him my traffic. Won't ask a dime of him. ;)
Nice!
My favorite spammer moment was when I was setting up my new cable modem when some DSL provider called me up...
- Hi, I'm calling from Acme DSL. How are you today?
- I'm super! Just installing my new shiny cable modem.
- ... Umm... hmm.. ugh... ok, have a nice day, sir.
Also, not quite spam, but check out my latest blog entry http://www.jroller.com/page/ykaganovich?entry=some_people_just_don_t
Sounds like a Nigerian-type scam. Give me your bank account # so I can deposit some money, blah, blah, etc.
Nah, sounds like he's trying to rob some of Jeremy's screen real estate for little or no money.
So, just how do I go about buying some traffic from you? ;)
