I wonder if we'll put a stop to this moronic "daylight savings time" during my lifetime. Seriously.
I've had a pretty good routine going for the last month or so--waking up before my alarm clock goes off and feeling quite refreshed. Of course, after yesterday's time change that's all shot. I had to drag myself our of bed this morning because there wasn't yet enough daylight to convince my body that it was time to do so.
Oh, well.
In unrelated news, would anyone care to guess how many requests I've received for Yahoo! 360 invites? In addition to the 250+ who left comments on my previous blog post, I got a lot of direct requests via email too. I'm quite surprised at how many folks are looking for invites.
I hit the limit on day #1, so I'm long past being able to invite anyone else. But that doesn't seem to stop people from continuing to ask.
Amazing.

I have a similar, but a lot smaller "problem" on my MBA summaries. I wrote about analyzing the industry environment once and it ranks very well in some search engines. From then on people started asking me for free analysis right in the comments (http://owt.typepad.com/oubs/2003/06/analyzing_the_i.html) and they now started eMailing me. I said again and again that there is no free analysis that I can provide.
Sometimes one wonders if they just read the headline and that's it. :)
I have some invites left if you need them, drop me a note

I've got some too. Leave comments at http://marc.abramowitz.info/archives/2005/04/04/yahoo-360-invites-available/ (I can't get trackbacks to show up on Jeremy's site for some reason).
Yeah, everyone should have known that there is a limit on the number of invites that you had, Jeremy. It was right there in the original post. I mean, not in the text or the headline, but you can pick it up in the general psychic energy of the post if you press your forehead to the screen and concentrate real hard while reading the message. Try it!
I have some invitations left, too. Just ask at germoad at yahoo dot com
DST and timezones in general should be deprecated.
Non 7-bit-ASCII languages should go away too.
You and the farmers don't like summer time; the rest of us think it's great. :)
- ask
I bet people who complain about DST in April don't remember in July and August when they're enjoying an extra hour of afternoon/evening sunlight :-)
Ask: I think summer is great. I just think DST is stupid. Let's pick one time and stick with it.
Harald: I'll complain about this any time of the year. :-)
Amen on DST being stupid. Screwed me up as well.
Anyway, I haven't used a single 360 invite, not sure how many you get, but whatever number that is, thats how many I have.
If anyone wants one, just drop me a note:

Daylight Saving Time isn't moronic. Seriously. Learn its history.
BTW, it's "saving" not "savings".
Jeremy - why do you think it's "amazing" that so many people asked you for 360 invites? I'd think (and certainly could be wrong) that the assumption is that you can get more than the 100 invites that the rest of us mere Yahoo 360 mortals can get.
Also, those invitation threads are serious comment bait.
My yahoo account (pooyak) seems like infected to permanent a problem with 360. First day after your first invite when I was saving my settings I received some error and now I cannot login to the system. Even after receiving another new invite from another friend and pressing on the "continue" button I get redirected to the same page again! I filled a bug report first day but still the same. I was just curious to know how's the support system in Yahoo. Is it a centralized system for the whole Yahoo or different systems for every service? (cause it seems like all of them are under Yahoo! Help)
Isn't it easier to create a Yahoo! groups, add all the email to it and send an invite to the group. 360 seem to consider this as one invite. :-)
The link in the invite stops working after the first person (just like it does with gmail), so the Group thing doesn't work.
But yeah, it's strange that you couldn't just ask the 360 team to throw some more in your account ;)
Funny, here in Indiana, we've been debating for the past 20 years whether we should jump on the DST bandwagon. There's a good possibility it'll pass this year, and we'll be on DST next year.
I say fooey on all that.
For those that want 360 Yahoo beta accounts....
I can invite you.....
Send me a note..

It might have been handy if you told us all how many you had to give out ;)
Sorry Jeremy, looks like DST is actually going to be extended:
