Darren is right. One of the funniest SNL skits ever is the Christmas NPR radio spoof (57MB MPEG Video). It's amazing that the actors were able to keep straight faces.
Darren, thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten how damned funny that skit is.

Ok, now, that was relatively kind of funny. Mostly because it was Alec Baldwin. Thanks for sharing, Z.
Schewty balls...that stuff might have been funny in oh about fourth grade.
Thanks - I needed that. Now my five year old son is staring at me wondering what I'm laughing at.....
I agree entirely, that's one of the best skits in SNL history, the best Christmas skit I've ever seen, and quite possibly the best skit in it's era (aka: SNL: The Unfunny Years).
The skit is a good diversion as we kill time waiting for vacation to start, although I got past that level of humour in 7th grade.
The best Christmas skit was Happy Holidays from Tarzan, Tonto and Frankenstien.
Jeez, are you people all too young to remember when SNL was actually funny, back before 1980? Doesn't anyone remember the classics, like Belushi's Samurai Tailor, or Dan Akroyd's Bassomatic?
Anyway, the all time classic SNL xmas sketch was "A Holiday Wish" by Steve Martin.

I don't know if it really makes sense as text, you really need to see Steve perform it, he really puts his heart into it.
Blue X-mas is pretty good:
