Well, not literally. But I need to get a sufficient volume of mail into jzawodn@gmail.com that I can get a better feel for what it's going to do. You know, to see past the gigabyte and all.
Sure, I'll probably dig up some stuff from my archives and send it over, but it'd be more interested to use recent mail.
Of course, as a byproduct of putting my address here, I'm sure to get actual spam as well. That'll help to see if their filters catch most of it. I expect they will.
Either way, I win. Well, okay, maybe "win" is too strong a word.

Just out of interest, how come everyone's getting these gmail accounts? I signed up for alerts the day they put up the "sign up for our alerts" page and haven't heard anything. Is it a random beta or are people pulling strings of some sort?
It seems that they are offering Gmail to people based on their Google Ranks... aren't they?

Seems reasonably simple thing to do.

(And yeah, I'm fully expecting someone to note that I got the last line wrong. For some reason I didn't want to actually test sending you a copy of my cpan directory)
B@stardos! :) I'd love to get my hands on a Gmail account- I have tons of mail to test with (and I doubt that JZ would appreciate it all). I ditched my Blogger account for a MovableType installation about 12 months ago; any other ways to come by a Gmail account?
From my experience (only been a week or so), Gmail sucks at spam detection. I posted on it here with an image of my inbox here.
FYI: How I got so much mail in a few short days was I had a few accounts go to @gmail as well as the POP mailboxes.
Also got a gmail account here as well as I'm a frequent blogger on Blogger.com.
Spam detection sucks at the moment - maybe they haven't got their bayes filters up to speed.

You could probably start filling up your gmail account by signing up for a few development mailing lists. They are known for a ton of mail...
Whenever testing out a new mail account, I always send the mysql documentation to myself. Just incase, I forgot what it was, since you probably need it more than I do, I'm sending you a copy. :)))

The reason why that during so long, is that google must install. enough servers for
G(Gygabyte)-mail
It's easy to get spammed. The first step is to post your addresses on pages with a high PageRank (done here) and then you can post to some newsgroups with your Gmail addressess jzawodn@gmail.com, justinf@gmail.com as the sender addresses.
