I saw the movie. Yahoo rented out a theater and a ton of us saw it this afternoon. Yawn.

I was going to write about the whole experience, but then I found that someone else summed up my thoughts nicely.

I was VERY disappointed in the movie. As typical nowadays, the more hype there is about something, the worse it is, and it was VERY true about this movie. My whole group felt the same way as I.

We don't care that the rest of the meager crew has a life away from the ship. No, really, it's fluff and the smatterings of time are wasted screen space (Particularly the pre-apocolyptic rave session, even if it was a helluva wrap party)

You know what would have been better? Present the story from the point of view of the machines. They're the far more interesting characters right now.
