I'm in Chicago now, waiting for the second leg of my flight back to Ohio for a family wedding. It's damned cold here (air conditioning) and there's no Wifi. Chicago is such a lame airport.

Chicago isn't really an airport. Out of curiosity, are you at O'Hare, Midway, Gary, or some other I've forgotten?

Actually, O'Hare does have wireless. Go over to the AA/first class lounge. No need to go in. You can hang around outside and grab the signal :)

And for this info, you owe me a response to my Yahoo! Jobs email to you from yesterday. *wink*

Safe travels

If you have time, give Josh and I a call. We can go to Be Trans.

You could always use your Treo 600 or 650, launch PDANet (http://www.junefabrics.com) and port your web connection into your laptop. Works great!

Also, wi-fi is also available in the United lounges. No need to go it.

I was going to ask, you don't have a data plan on your cell/treo and a bluetooth connection? Works pretty well and is great in those situations. Full how-to on my blog for Cingular people.

I posted using the bluetooth connection no my laptop and my Motorola V710 on Verizon. It works well in a pinch.

There is a lot of WiFi at O'Hare, you just have to be creative.

The air lounges there just about all offer it, and I refuse to believe that a little NetStumbler or AirMagnet action couldn't have located the United Airlines baggage handling (or other) SSID.

Hint: most APs won't reject packets with their own MAC as the SA.

With all the traveling you do surely you must have an air lounge membership. If not, you should get a Platinum Amex card, which gives you access to many.

Have fun in Ohio.
