I was gonna write a real response to the Culture Clash that Stefanie Olsen wrote for CNet. But I was busy with travel and figured that I'd just commented on one of her stories recently.

Luckily, Justin is up to the task. His response, Yahoo! Culture v. Google does a good job of saying much of what I might have said.

So go read that instead. :-)

Mark,

Yahoo is apparently having issues with its chatrooms and they might have shut them down. I am not in any chatrooms, but I tried to get into one after I read your post. I could not enter anything into a Yahoo chatroom. It could be that I am not doing something correctly. I have not been into a Yahoo chatroom for several months, so I am probably not the one who should be addressing this question.
