In the last several days of chaos, I've been slow to post here. So let's start with the thing everyone has been asking me about: the leak!
As I suggested last week in my Day #7 report, Robert dropped by the next day. By the time I got home that evening, I had a working shower!
The "guest" bathroom was fully functional. There was much happiness!
Because he was pressed for time, we agreed that I'd have Robert come back in a few weeks to finish up a few things, including the master bathroom shower.
It just so happens that I recently bought the camera I've wanted since the day it came out: the Canon EOS Digital Rebel. A co-worker was selling one at a great price, so I finally jumped. The pictures below are two of the first four pics I've shot with it so far. I hope they serve to illustrate how much collateral damage was done to my living room wall. :-(
But, hey... at least I can shower!

Wow, that sucks man. But atleast you got it all done, and the shower is finally working again. Now once all the rest is working perfect, you won't have to even worry about the new piping...

I'M PROBABLE NOT IN THE RIGHT PLACE TO POST MY COMMENT BUT----SINCE MY WIFE STOPPED COOKING THANKS TO YOUR ARTICLE IV'E DISCOVERED CROCK POTS AND ITSA WORKINGT OUT GREAT
At least you have nice plumbing...
Hmmm, that really didn't sound right...
Nice camera chioce Jeremy, I just got one myself a few monthes ago. Blowes all the other I've ever had away still just amazed at the pictures it takes. Hope you get your house back to normal soon.
I'm information searching... I have a mysterious hissing in the walls. It plumbing surrounding the area of noise is... a garage spigot and the laundry room (the sound is loudest by the hot water heater). I can hear the hissing in the wall that is between the garage and the front entryway.
I can even faintly hear it upstairs in the bathroom that is directly above the laundry room/garage.
Water in the house works fine (hot/cold), no water leaking anywhere. But that damn hissing sound, faint, but I can hear it when just walking by the wall.
I have hard water (never got a water softner) and the house is only 10-12 years old. So not ancient problems, but I'm a single woman and haven't drained my water heater in the last 5 years I've been living in my townhome. I am at a loss for what might be wrong. Anyone know?
I am a girl and very dumb at this stuff !!
Email me at sueandty@sbcglobal.net if you can suggest anything !!
