Ray and I headed down to Southern California today. We left my new place around 8:30am and arrived in Huntington Beach so that I could collect some equipment, drop off a check, and do the necessary paperwork to become the new owner of N304GT.
We're staying with Steve in Tustin, who's an amazing host. He prepared a most excellent grill feast for us this evening: beer, shrimp, peppers, steak, and more! I'm sooooo stuffed.
Tomorrow morning we'll head to Hemet to disassemble the glider, put the pieces in the trailer, and tow it back to Hollister.
Pictures and a more complete report later. BTW, it was in the high 80s down here today!

well, i am glad you got to enjoy our first really nice day this year. It was HOT at my house in Fullerton La Habra area (in the low 90s in the shade according to my Therm.)
Too bad you are not staying longer...

I still have way too much beer yet - maybe drop down again sometime to help polish it off? :-)
Howz about a caravan from SoCal to the "up north" so a few of us can join the Geek Dinner on Friday? I'll drive one vehicle if a few others will chip in for gas -- the Durango eats it up and at these prices I'm tempted to beat my fear of flying and 'glide' up there, if I'm forced to go solo.
