I agree, apparently if you have a Series 1 and you've done the bash hack you can undelete up to a certain point before the show is actually removed. Too bad its not part of the package.

There is an Undelete for TiVo! Undelete is a feature of TiVo Web, but not one that folks talk about a lot. Check out... http://tivo.lightn.org/

You can read more about it on my blog at http://www.oasisavi.com/blog/blogger.html

I'll tell you about a really tricky TiVo bug, it's in my series 1 unit, AFAIK it's uncorrected in recent versions.
I was watching a PBS show about the Copenhagen incident (you know, Bohr and Hesenberg's mysterious post-WWII conversation) and I was waiting for a phone call to go out to an appointment. The call came about 10 min before the show was over, so I just hit Record with the intention of saving the big climax of the show for later. Unfortunately, I did not realize I was about 15 min behind realtime, watching from the buffer. When the recording started, it started taping a new show that had started 5 min ago, and to add further misery, dumped the 10 min of buffer containing the finale. Man was I pissed.

Mod your TiVo! Aside from modding my X-box it's the best $70 I've ever spent. Being able to program it from anywhere, rip video to DVD and VCD, and to undelete shows, it has made my already indespensible TiVo even more indespensible.

Plus you can put what your TiVo has taped on your blog, If your mom reads your blog it will keep you from taping porn too ;)
