I'm a big fan of Dr. Soy bars--especially the Chocolate/Peanut variety. I was eating one this afternoon and got to wondering if they were a public company. Maybe I'd like to buy some stock.
I see on the wrapper that their web site, easily enough, is www.drsoy.com so I head over. It turns out that they are not public. But, I'm thrilled to see that they sell directo to consumers via their web site and it ends up costing less than my local grocery store charges.
Woohoo!
I ordered two boxes on the spot.
I suspect that few other "healthy" snack food makers do this. Hm. Actually, it seems that you can get Clif and Luna bars on-line too. Excellent.
I don't eat Clif bars often, but if I did, I'd probably buy somet too. Even if it wasn't any cheaper, it helps to encourage companies like this to sell on-line.

i like luna bars much better than the normal clif bars or powerbars. too bad they're marketed as being "for women". i end up borrowing them from my fiancee.
vitasoy soy milk is good stuff too. a lot "creamier" than normal watery soy milks. buy a chocolate and a vanilla next time you're at whole foods and try it out. good good stuff.
I'm sure you already realize this, but if you take a look at the ingredient list you can see that these things are not at all "healthy".
I tend to take ProMax Bars on multi-day backpacks. Especially the CheeseCake one, I find to do very well in the morning after a good night of listening for bears.
I LOVE DR SOY!!!! ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS WORKS FOR THEM AND HE GOT ME SO HOOKED ON EM!!!! AND THE SNACKERS ARE SOOO YUMMY. HAVE YOU EVER HAD THEIR NUTS? THE BBQ ONES ARE THE BEST, CHOC ONES ARE OK. THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE ARE THEIR COOKIES. I DONT SUGGEST THEM. YOU HAVE TO EAT THEM ALL THE MOMENT YOU OPEN THEM OTHERWISE THEY GET STALE AND HARD RIGHT AWAY. JUST WANTED TO SAY HI. IM HAPPY TO SEE THAT PEOPLE AROUND THE US ARE ENJOYING DR SOY
Have you tried Revival Soy bars (www.revivalsoy.com). They say their bar is the #1 doctor-recommended brand. So what does that make Dr. Soy? All I know is Revival Soy bars taste great. You should try some. They don't sell in stores; you can only get them on their website or their 800 number.
I discovered that these bars are very close nutritionaly
to a popular weight loss bar sold to plan members only
(begins with L.A.)and are a fraction of the cost. They are also just as good.
