For the past week, I've been waiting for one of my FreeBSD servers to reproduce a problem we've been seeing with MySQL + LinuxThreads. This particular machine is running a custom build of MySQL 4.0.4 (or MySQL 404, as I like to call it). So far, no problem. Why? Probably because I'm watching... waiting... and waiting...

A week ago, I couldn't keep the server from shitting itself every 12 hours. Now it's been up for almost 5 days.

How annoying.

Having the same problem with one of ours.. 3.23.52..
FreeBSD+LT, the thing would crash thrice daily
for the past couple days; today I watch it like
a hawk and it won't budge. :-/

MySQL is evil.

I've had 4.04 up and running since it was released, and I must say I like it quite a bit. I'm not sure if you used the 4.03 release but it had some really glaring bugs, such as a SELECT DISNTINCT query with a LEFT JOIN would crash the server every time. But 4.04 (an odd release for a web product) seems rock solid :).
