Packettel are cheap, but not reliable. I use to be their client. Currently I am with UnityFax and FaxOrama. Both are good - no complains so far. Pricewise they are very good compare to the big ones like MyFax and eFax.

Zhenlei Cai and others are correct about the cause of rsync with a large dataset eating memory. This is what happened to me when rsyncing two datasets with hardlinks, one of ~30G the other 130G. I left it running overnight rsyncing from HDD to USB2 external HDD and the machine gradually ate into swap until it became unresponsive. It looks like a good chunk of the data got transferred though (I deduced this by du -chs of the original data vs that on the USB HDD). The rsync settings I use are: time rsync -avh --stats --hard-links

Looks like I have to gradually do a bunch of broken rsyncs until the data is transferred. If this failed, I think cp -av --preserve=all would be the next best thing.

One other thing is that in my case the data is going onto an encrypted partition by using cryptmount.

<p>
Ok, I've worked at Costco for quite some time so I can help with this discussion.

For one, the reason the receipts are checked is because of 2 things... 1)There are no "activated security devices" in the items to prevent inconvenience of people setting off the door alarms, etc. and 2) It's easy for someone to steal something between the register and the door, especially if they have someone with them. Honestly, the reason we check the receipts is to make sure that we don't OVER charge you or cause a loss for our products which causes trouble not only during inventory but also with our merchant partners that accommodate those low prices people enjoy. As for the particular employee you encountered, she handled the process all wrong. I've worked at the door several times and with large full baskets, you are only supposed to scan for the easily missed or over-charged items like alcohol, small products, and things hidden on the bottom of the basket. Her over-thinking wasn't entirely in vane however, because if she had been wrong, it would've gotten her and the cashier "at fault" in unnecessary trouble. Besides, marking the receipt helps prevent people from coming through again with the same items, as I'm sure you know.

I also agree with whoever said the receipt codes are hard to decipher. I've looked over plenty of receipts and for example, Cinnamon Toast Crunch with Fiber, rings up as CTC WFBR. When you are trying to hurry and scan a large receipt, it's not the easiest thing to spot.

We've been having a lot of sphinx performance issues in sphinx 0.99-rc1. I think searchd's forking is a big reason why. I am going to give the latest a try and see what happens.

Is there somewhere a document outlining how forking works? What the searchd child does on startup, when it starts up, how long it lives ... ?

Live and let live! You enjoy your life and let others enjoy theirs! I have a lifted SUV because I drive on unmaintained/unplowed roads at Tahoe in the winter and need it. If it wasn't for my kids, dogs and all the stuff I need to carry around I would have something smaller like a Subaru, but that doesn't work with my family's lifestyle!Don't pass judgement on others since you have no idea what their life is about! How about if you go with what Tahoe is about and smile, wave and say hello to people and stop being rude city people who have something to prove!

  Ruby and Python are both great languages. I would prefer Ruby over Python for one thing I hate in Python - "Indentation detects programming constructs". A space here and there interpreter starts cribbing. If you are coming from Perl background I definitely suggest Ruby over Python.

 Interactive Programming Books make learning new programming language very easy. Readers can execute or edit code snippets straight out of the book. You can try free interactive programming books on both Ruby and Python at http://roorky.com. IPUBReader comes with free bundled programming books on both Ruby and Python.

Thanks

I am in the same boat. I have lost my business with what turned out to be an untrustworthy business partner. I poured my heart, soul and time into this business it was my passion. I tried everything to save it but every single thing I tried came to a dead end. Then my husband decides this is the time he wants a divorce. In this same month period I discovered my husband has a gambling problem and gambled his entire months pay away in one night. Additionally, I found he owes many people money due to borrowing for gambling funds. We have two children. All of this a once is more than I can process at once. I feel like the universe or God is trying to tell me something. How do I hear exactly what it is so I can make the right decisions for our future?

<p>
I didn't want a separate "table radio", and a car receiver didn't make much sense (too much noise in a car), so a year ago I bought a SANGEAN HD tuner ($149) that I hooked up to my home audio system. Regardless of what others on this blog said, there IS a definite improvement in HD FM sound quality over regular FM. If you go this route, you have to hook the HD tuner up to a spare CD input on your receiver, otherwise you won't hear the sound improvement. I live about 30 miles outside Buffalo, NY and I can pick up about 9 FM HD stations and the soud IS good. The local NPR station split their signal into 3 separate channels. 1 is regular NPR, 2 is pop/college set music, and 3 is all news and talk.
I bought a $10 rabbit ear TV antenna from Walmart and have it set on top of my entertainment unit. Definitely not high tech, but figured I'd try that first.I'll admit that the HD signal can be "picky" and you have to fool around with whatever type of antenna you have to get the strongest signal, but once it's set you're good to go. My advice:
Don't use the flimsy dipole antenna included in many HD and regular receivers. They don't work. At the least, you need rabbit ears or better yet an attic or roof mount
antenna. I'm not saying HD radio is the beat all to end all, but so far I'm happy with it.

<p>
Brown aluminium oxide is fused in an electrical furnace by hig temperature. Its main raw materials are bauxite, anthracite. It dispaly brown.Its chemical composition contains AlO3, a small amount of SiO2、TiO2、and Fe2O3, etc. The microhardness is 1800 -2200 kg/mm2, The toughness is higher than silicon carbide. Abrasive articles made of it are suited forgrinding metals of highten sile strength such as steel,annealed malleableiron and hard high - class refractory products.
The degree of refractory is up to 1850 C.
