Spam or scam... next step would be to ask for your info or persist in trying to get it. That or checking to see if the email is valid? I dunno. It does seem surreal sometimes, though.

I was asked once for a quotation on a large shipment of bluefin tuna by someone who obviously mixed me up with someone else.
Almost sounds like someone who doesn't have a full handle on English quite yet. I'd be curious if Rev. Willson mistyped an email address for someone else.

Well, its clearly a phishing email. I think they send it in bulk and by law of averages a few dozens or even hundreds will reply.
Maybe it has something to do with your previous job, at Marathon Oil; maybe he wants to buy a hundred barrels of oil -- or a hundred empty used barrels on the cheap?
Not that I think those blue plastic barrels are used for oil (but why not, actually?), but at least the 55-gal capacity seems to be in the right ballpark for an oil drum.

I guess these funny emails happen to everyone. I get these African Spam emails all the time and I still hear of people falling for them all the time. I guess it happens to everyone. lol.
